I get it that for maybe 50% more you can get a luthier make a nice custom one too but will it always be better? I hate selling this one but I'm retiring and relocating soon so I need to thin the herd. Carvins popular neck through design keeps this guitar sounding great and the intonation true. In my mind this guitar is an absolute must for the solo artist that needs to switch between humbuckers and a piezo with a flip of a switch. Those that you who are familiar with the 185 already know of it's popularity. There is a reason why many call this the most versatile guitar.
